Archeology

 
The archeological collection presents important finds from the area of Gröden/Gardena.

Especially noteworthy are the Stone Age finds of Plan de Frea at the Grödner Joch and the Iron Age find complex of Col de Flam near St. Ulrich / Ortisei. The latter includes a large number of tools and weapons as well as items of jewelry made of bronze and iron.

The famed "bronze dagger of Balèstberg" is a unique specimen for the Alpine region.
